Objectifs
Become familiar with specific anatomical vocabulary, medical tests and certain pathologies required for a patient examination; Be able to ask patient key questions; Be able to explain the diagnosis and management to the patient.

Establish a medical history
- Key diagnostic questions
- How to characterise pain
- How to characterise various key symptoms
- Discuss cultural differences
- Practice taking a medical history
- Listen to a simulated patient history
Analysis
- How to prescribe certain biological tests
- How to interpret the results
- Revise Medical shorthand
- Practice prescribing follow up tests
- Listen to results given over the phone
Diagnosis
- How to tell the patient the diagnosis
- Explain the administration of prescribed treatment
- Practice in pairs using learned vocabulary
Reassure the patient
- Revisit appropriate vocabulary
- Discuss cultural differences
